03Compliance
Paperwork your auditors will ask for
Kenya’s Sustainable Waste Management Act, 2022 says anyone who generates waste must
“dispose the waste to only licensed waste service providers or at collection points designated in accordance with the provisions of this Act.”
Private-sector entities in gazetted categories must also report the actual quantities of waste they generate (section 19(1)(a)). On conviction, a business that fails to manage its waste under the Act faces a fine of at least 5% of the previous year’s net income or KES 5 million, whichever is higher (section 19(6)).

07Questions
Questions businesses ask us
Is the pickup really free?
Yes, from 500 kg within Mombasa County and from 2,000 kg outside it. Below that, bring the material to our Bamburi yard, or ask us what we can do.
How do you price my material?
Per kilogram, by material. Ask us for a current rate for your material. Your receipt shows the weighed kilos for each material and any take-off.
What is “take-off”?
When material is wet or dirty, part of its weight is water or dirt. We deduct that weight before pricing, and your receipt shows it separately. Dry, clean material avoids take-off.
How and when do you pay?
After your material is weighed and priced. Businesses are paid by M-Pesa, bank transfer or cheque; at the yard gate we pay by M-Pesa or cash.
What documents do we get?
A weight receipt for every collection, a certificate of destruction for confidential paper, and copies of our NEMA licences on request.
Can you collect on a regular schedule?
We book each collection when you are ready. Message us when your store is filling up and we will arrange the truck.
Which areas do you cover?
Mombasa County, and further afield for loads from 2,000 kg. Tell us where you are and we will confirm.
Do you buy from individual collectors?
Yes, at our Bamburi yard during opening hours. Regular collectors can ask to be registered as suppliers.
Do you take other materials?
Send us a photo on WhatsApp and we will tell you.
